Watch a film — become a cinema.

Press play on any web video and your stream turns into a screening: the lights dim, the film fills the frame — pixel-perfect and completely untouched — and you stay in the picture to react. When you move on, the stage comes back by itself. Nothing to click, ever.

Why the tiny add-on?

Cinema mode needs to know one thing: exactly where the video player sits on the page. A free ~10 KB browser add-on tells it — so the frame lands on the player to the pixel, on YouTube, X, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Dailymotion and virtually any video site, even across monitors with different scaling. The app works fully without it; the framing is simply at its best with it.

Install it in 2 minutes

  1. Download the add-ongrab the .zip here (~10 KB) — and unpack it anywhere you like (right-click → Extract all).
  2. Open your browser's extensions page — in Chrome or Edge, type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Switch on “Developer mode” — it's a small toggle in the top-right corner of that page.
  4. Click “Load unpacked” and pick the unpacked smart-region folder from step 1.
  5. Done. Start live.hexart.io, play any web video — the moment you hover it, your stream becomes a cinema.

Tip: the same add-on files also ship with the app, in {app}\extension\smart-region — so you can point “Load unpacked” there instead of downloading anything.

Is it safe? Yes. The add-on talks only to the live.hexart.io app on your own computer — nothing is sent to the internet, nothing is collected, and it does exactly one job: telling the studio where the video player is. It's free, like everything here.
